Fun in the Fall

Chelsea, Payson, and I went to an apple orchard today and had a blast. Chelsea had to pick some apples for an enrichment activity. We had so much fun picking the apples and hearing payson say "apples" It was seriously the sweetest thing I have ever herd. After the Apple orchard we decided to go explore the royal gorge bridge. We had a blast on the way up we discovered that there was a train for kids that took you up to a sight you could see the bridge. The train ride was so much fun and view was amazing! It was such a fun day and so beautiful out!

How could you not love this guy?

So happy for the train ride!

Ok just so everyone knows how brave we wear there were no seat belts on the train and no doors or side railings! This view is from the train as you can see not very far from the edge!

On the way up to the bridge we spotted some deer! We laughed as we were taking pictures because we were totally acting like we had never seen deer before!
One weekend we were hanging out with our friends Randy and Cierra and it was so beautiful outside so I suggested we go for a walk to the water fall. Well I call it chocolate falls because the water reminds me of willy wonka and the chocolate factory so it makes me laugh. We miss them both very much and wish them good luck in Japan!

Wichita

A day with the hubby!

Before Matt left for Arkansass he said he would love to just spend the day hanging out and then go on a date later that night. I was so excited to have fun with him and no distractions. So we decided to lay in bed all morning just laughing and then went out for a walk later that afternoon. Then we decided to go and eat at a chines buffet and it was soooo delicious!!

I was so excited for the buffet!

Ok so before matt and I went to go eat dinner i was trying to get a good picture of us and put my camera case between the windshield wiper and the windshield. Well when matt went to jump on the freeway it blew off so we had to make a U-turn and get it! Sorry baby but it we did get a good chuckel!

A cute town called Abilene

This weekend Matt and I decided to take a little drive down to Abilene. We wanted to check out housing on and off base and check out the town! I fell in love with the town and absolutely love the Air Force base! Its so cute and very nice. We checked out some housing off base because the lady at the housing office before we went down told us the waiting list was 2-3months! We went to a place called Quail Hallow and it was very nice! We then took a drive on base and to our surprise the housing was AMAZING!!! Matt and I decided that we will live in temporary housing for a month if we have to so we can live on base!!

This is the front of it and on the right is the garage...if you look at the picture below you can tell

This home was our number one choice because it had the best floor plan. Plus we loved the neighborhood and just thought that they were really cute!

Now I know you are all thinking why is this not your first choice...well it is a way nice house and everything but this one is not very likely because they try and save the houses for people of Matt's rank who have been in longer but she said that's all they had available at the moment so its could be a possibility.

This one came in 3rd but seriously we would not mind it at all!

We love Dyess Air Force base sooo much and cant wait to move down and have a little space of our own! Abilene was such an adorable town and we cant wait to explore and see what it has to offer!!

2009 Sheppard Air Show

Matt and I had a ton of fun this weekend with some friends and the Sheppard Air Show. We got to see some very cool plains and watch some fun stunts in the sky! Are friends Randy and Cierra along with her mom, dad, and 5 brothers came with us to the Air show! We had such a blast walking around and collecting SWAG...lol!! We got some fun stuff and Matt was like a kid in a candy store with all the fun plains! We learned about different plains from different times of war. We got to see a plain that was 92yrs old take flight! It was one of the original airplanes to take flight! We also learned about and saw fighter plains fly from World War 1 and 2, Vietnam, the F-15, F-22, F-18, B-1, B-52, C-130, C-17, and much much more!!! After the show we joined are friends at there place for there sons 1st birthday! It was so much fun to hang out with good friends!

Inside the C-17

Matt and his Pilot friend talking some other language about C-17's. It was so funny I had to take a pic. They talked for a good 20 min. They were so much in there own little world the pilot forgot about everyone else...lol!!

Ok I have to brag a little bit hear, I had no idea Matt's job was soooo important they put the names on the sides of the plains! I was seriously impressed! I knew that the crew chief was important but I didn't know they were that respected. The pilot even said they treat there crew chiefs like gold because they know EVERYTHING about the plain and rely on them sooooo much! I am so proud of my husband!

This is the C-17. They are like the Mercedes Benz of the C-130s. They are soo huge and sooo nice!!

The 92 yr old plain! Its top speed was 72mph so that way the plain would not be destroyed during flight!

This plain is so cool its technically a plain but can land like a helicopter!

I believe these plains were used during World War 2. I cant remember now. They did some really cool stunts though!

The B-1!! This was so awesome and so LOUD!!!!

In front of a B-52! I had no idea that a plain could hold soooooo many bombs!!!! This plain is so amazing to watch take off the wing span is as long as the plain! It doesn't look like it should fly!
