This past week has been a little challenging for me trying to decide what I want to do with my life. After many hours of looking for a job and many tears of frustration I decided to let Heavenly Father take control! (I was being a little stubborn i admit) I decided to follow the little whisperings to put in an application at a local college to go back and get my nursing degree. Its something I have always wanted to do but we have just never had the money. So last Thursday I sent off my application and got accepted the following Wednesday!! I couldn't believe it!! Then I decided to call my good friend Jayne to ask her how much the air force was willing to dish out and hopped online only to find out that my tuition will be 100% covered!! THANK YOU JAYNE!!!! To make things even better with all my credits and classes i took for psychology they went along nicely with the nursing degree. So I only have 2 years till I'm completely done!!!! I have to take 4 classes half of this summer to catch up with the rest of the nursing students but if i pass those and do well i start my first semester of nursing at the beginning of this September!! I'm so excited and cant wait! Matt has been doing very well with the Air Force he has been working and studying hard! He has a big test coming up in about a week! Hes a smart guy so i know he will do just fine! Anyways that's a little update from our happy household:)
Matt and I have been having such a fun time hear in Texas. We have met some very fun people and have tried a lot of new things! First of all to start things off I'm am training for a triathlon!! I work out about 2 days a week and am loving it!! My friend bethani told me about one that she did and said she loved every minute of it so her and i have been hitting the gym!! I have taken a water aerobics class for the first time and racket ball!! Both very very fun!!
Before Christmas we also had Randy and Cierra stop by! It was a blast they got us catan for Christmas!!! Its one of are favorite games ever so needless to say we played that a lot! They also introduced us to Chick-fil-a ya a horrible horrible thing to do its one of the worlds best fast food places ever!! it was soo sooo good! While they were hear we also built a ginger bread house! It was way fun!
We celebrated Matt's 28Th birthday! He was so excited to find out he got a wii for his birthday! He also got catch phrase from the halls, the sweetest text message from Jackson's family, and the best home made card from Maddie. It was a fun time!
For New Years you all know we went to fort worth/Dallas and had a blast!! We got to visit Cierra's family and eat at a real Texas BBQ pit! It was soo soo yummy!! We also got to visit the Dallas cowboys stadium! It was so amazing and so huge! The screens in the middle were so HUGE!!!! It was a good weekend!
Other then that we have been experimenting with new foods and are loving it! Last week I made stake and shrimp topped with provolone cheese! it was so tasty and not very healthy. I also made a yummy shrimp and chicken salad Friday night and it was so so yummy too!! Thank goodness it was much much healthier. Finally last night i made homemade BBQ sauce and my own dry rub for ribs. We slow cooked them and oh my it was so stinking good!! I was good and only had 2 ribs but i think Matt had about 10!! They were so amazing and i will defiantly be making them again!!
We hope 2010 is going good so far! We cant wait for Isaac to come home from his mission and hear all his neat stories! We miss everyone so much and hopefully get to see some of you very very soon!!
