White Christmas!

This Christmas was a very special Christmas, it was the first Christmas Matt and I got to share alone! We were not really sure how to handle it at first because we were supposed to go to Colorado and spend it with are friends. Well long story short that didn't happen:( Although we were not able to spend Christmas with any family or friends it was one of the best Christmases in my book! It started out Christmas eve with lots of junk food movies and a drive around base looking at others Christmas lights! Then we pulled an all nighter that's right folks we stayed up till 12...hehe Ok I know its really not considered an all nighter but when you get married it seems like your body's internal clock says bedtime is at 9! We got up around 7 that morning to open presents from Santa and each other!! I'm going to make a list of things we got cause I always love to know what other people got and I figure others do to..hehe

Matt: 50" TV, surround sound, survival knife, watch, 2 Hurley sweaters, harry potter movie, and manacula.
Melissa: Couch, curtains, shirt, old navy gift card, book shelf, area rug, flip flops, wireless keyboard and mouse.

As you can see we got hooked up for Christmas!! Later on that afternoon we made a yummy turkey dinner with homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, corn, salad, cranberry's, and rolls! It was so yummy!!! I have to toot my own horn because I have never ever made a turkey or stuffing from scratch! It was soooo soo good!! The turkey was so juicy it was falling off the bone and everything was soo yummy! I'm excited to try again! Then we stayed up kinda late playing with our new gifts, watching movies and enjoying one anthers company! Oh and the best part is we had a "major" snow storm the day before Christmas eve and it lasted till about the day after Christmas! It was a good size snow for the state of Texas! The best part is its almost all gone and the weather looks like its getting warmer;) I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I'm excited to see what this new year brings!

Dinner for two!
